But he has changed sooo much!!! |
In 8 days Samuel will be...9 months old! Im so proud of him. He is such a strong, sweet, handsome little man. His bold personality has really be shinning through in the last month. He is incredibly strong willed (no clue where he got that from...lol) and tantrums have become a regular occurrence in our house. But he really is a sweet child. Samuel spends most of his time, smiling, flirting with the ladies, and chasing the dogs around the house. He wants to talk about everything now. If Joe and I are talking he usually chimes in with some form of babble or pre-word construction. He is starting to assign certain sounds to things. Momma= "Mum", Daddy= "Da", and when he is done eating "high pitched squeal". He is incredibly verbal. Often times he sits up in bed and wakes me up just some he can tell me something. Its so cute, I just wish I could understand what he is saying.
Samuel has been quite the travel, in his short life he has visited; Denver, New Mexico, Texas, North Dakota and in another week he will be traveling to Florida. He loves the excitement of travel. Though he will tolerate a long car ride (with 3-4 tantrums), the plane is a thrill for him. When the plane starts to take off he gets so excited. I love his smile. I starts at his chin and ends at his for head making his whole face light up. When he smiles I just want to cry, it makes me so happy. What a treasure our sweet little boy is. I cant believe this time last year I was knocked up and so miserable. It was sooooooo worth it!!!!
At 9 months Samuel
Crawls...everywhere!
Pulls himself up to stand and climbs on everything.
Enjoys any kind of music, he stands up or sticks his but in the air and bounces up and down, its so cute!
Adores daddy, if daddy is home daddy must hold or play with him at all times.
Loves to watch the puppies chase each other around the house, but is not too happy when they want to share his toys.
Will eat ANYTHING, his current favorite is plain greek yogurt.
Has a strange fascination with paper and a plastic button that belongs to one of his toys. He usually falls asleep holding said button or a piece of paper.

the easy button |
Is quite the explorer. There is no place in the house he wont try to get to. Of course he falls frequently, gets stuck, hits his head and so many other things, but nothing slows him down.
 |
talking through the holes in the gate |
He loves to jump on the couch. Samuel will crawl the couch, pull himself up and scream loudly (even if your right next to him) telling you he wants on the couch.
 |
another favorite... running away during diaper changes |
He is actually very compliant. When I say "no Sam we don't eat paper" "We dont pull on that" ect... He looks at me and stops what he is doing. Im praying this is a precursor to the rest of his life.
He wants to drink out of whatever im holding (cup or water bottle), and taste whatever Im eating. Which is a blessing because I think twice before I grab something he shouldn't(and I shouldn't) eat.
Happy 9 months Samuel!!!
