Samuel is 10 month today! He's getting so big and learning so many things. He still loves everyone!
He says a few words like mum, da and he calls our dog Duke, "de". He makes specific sounds when gets excited. When he is done eating he usually screams "dun". He is working on walking. Right now he uses the furniture or dogs to make himself stable. He's so funny and keeps Joe and I laughing all day and most of the night(:
He loves it when Joe comes home, he loves to play with the doggies. He loves to eat. He still doesn't sleep through the night, but that gives us more time to have fun(:
Happy 10 months to my big, happy, wild boy. You are a tremendous blessing!!!
I pray that you may have power, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ. -Eph 3:18

Remember
I love to rock Sam to sleep. Usually the house is quiet except for some softly playing hymns. I can truly enjoy him and worship God, meditate on my many blessings. Tonight I had dishes do to do (its been 3 days...gross right!), laundry, homework and so much else. But I just wanted to rock him.
Because I am so blessed to have him. I am not perfect or even all that good of a person. And still God has entrusted me with sweet, wild, wonderful Samuel. I love his smile, his hugs and kisses (actually bites). I adore his laugh and even dream about it. There have been times when he smiles so big and laughs so hard, I cry... because theres no other way to express the great joy I feel.
I want to always remember unsurpassed joy. This is the joy of parenting, whether your child is still with you, or with Jesus, I believe all parents understand this joy.
So this is my reminder, next time Sam is teething, or screaming for 4+ hours or life seems too much.
Joy eternal. Its peace that life does have a purpose and for me its peace that God is real. I can see him in Sam's smile and hear him in Sam's laugh.
Where do you experience joy?
